At College Planning TODAY Services we prepare individuals with everything from volunteer positions to internships so that they can develop these vital skills. Our Representatives come from many backgrounds - everything from sales to teaching to farming.

Requirements: Have experience in Analytics, Content Management Systems (CMS), Corel Word Perfect, CSS,

Data Analytics, Desktop Publishing, Documentation, Email, Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Publisher and Microsoft Word.

Pay scale and other specifics will be discussed with applicants one the application is reviewed.

Work Environment

 

College preparation is big business that saves those that properly use it get into some of the best colleges and save tens of thousands of dollars each year!

 

In 2012, about 75 percent of postsecondary teachers worked for colleges, universities, and professional schools and about 21 percent worked for junior colleges. Much smaller percentages of postsecondary teachers worked in industries such as technical and trade schools, business schools and computer and management training facilities, and hospitals.

College Recruiters makeup only about 3% of this market but account for as much as 24% of some colleges enrollment. At College Planning Services are not your traditional recruiters, they work with families to get your children into the best colleges with the most resources.

 

 

WORK SCHEDULES

 

Schedules for some Representatives are generally flexible while others keep office hours.

 

EDUCATION

 

College Recruiters are required to have at least a bachelor's degree.

 

OTHER EXPERIENCE

 

Although many prospective Representatives may have teaching or other work experience, in most cases this work experience is not required. Customer service and phone training is a plus.

Some departments may prefer to hire Representatives who have teaching or other work experience, but this is not a requirement for all fields or for our HR Department.

 

In fields such as (STEM) Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics, representatives can earn more bonuses working with our STEM related activities like STEM WARS. Now also with the "A"-Arts  

STEAM!

 

 

IMPORTANT QUALITIES

 

 

Communication skills. College Recruiters need to keep good documentation, conduct workshops at schools/churches/ college fairs, and assist other college representatives. To do so effectively, they need good communication skills. 

 

Critical-thinking skills. To challenge established status quo models and beliefs of learning, Insight passion for wanting to achieve, and assist with creative ideas for events, recruiters need good critical-thinking skills.

 

Resourcefulness. Recruiters need to be able to present information in a way that families will understand. They need to adapt to the different learning styles of their students and teach students who have little or no experience with the subject.
