College Planning TODAY Services has teamed up with other professionals to provide families with top-notch standardized test preparation. Welcome, APlus to our team!!
BREAKING NEWS ALERT!!!
According to current statistics, too many students with GPA's as high as a 4.5 are getting SAT's less than a 1100 and ACT's less than 22. Colleges only award MERIT Scholarships based on both scores being in good standing. Lower scores also prevent students with high GPA's from being accepted at top-tier colleges. Millions of dollars are NOT awarded when score standards are NOT met!!
To meet the new guidelines to assist students in getting better scores the STANDARDIZED TEST PREP ACADEMY has new materials and resources. Students from 5th grade to 11th grade can start registering NOW!! Late registration will cost an additional $50.
Millions of dollars are available for you to attend college. Did you know that if you did well enough on the PSAT/NMSQT many colleges will pay you to go to college? There is ONLY one thing that stands between you and tens of thousands of dollars for college- PREPARATION.
Many do not properly prepare for the PSAT/NMSQT/SAT/ACT because they do not see the urgency to do so. Often we meet parents with students in the 9th grade and they still believe that "it is too early" for them to save money for college, for them to prepare their students for standardized testing and for their children to know what college they desire to attend. This belief has contributed to a need for more student loans, fewer scholarships being awarded and students approaching a college major in the school of "undecided".
The ultimate goal here is for this to be a win-win-win. A win for the student because he or she has what they need to be successful, a win for the family because they not only have needed information but also save money and a win for the college because they have a PREPARED student.
To qualify for scholarships students must take the PSAT/NMSQT in the 11th grade.
High School Seniors who desire to get into top colleges and obtain much FREE money must take that SAT/ACT and do well on them.
It should be noted that Kahn Academy provides a full array of free prep materials. These materials along with the College Prep Series of College Planning TODAY Services and your very own Student Success Coach can make the difference! It can make the difference in your confidence and equally important your score!!
Learn how to Ace the Test
According to College Board, the company that administers the SAT, the best way to prepare for the test is "to take challenging courses, study hard, and read and write in and outside of the classroom." While College Planning TODAY Services offers a variety of test-prep tools ranging from $100 to just under $800, it admits the purpose of its products aren't to help boost students' knowledge and skills, but rather to provide strategies to doing well on the test. While numerous programs claim to prepare students for the SAT, many only provide products rather than strategies!
In order to raise their SAT scores, students must also have a previous SAT score. While some companies have students take mock tests throughout the program and compare their scores, parents and students should not rely on these tests. After all, many of the companies design their own mock SAT tests and some have been known to doctor their tests to provide lower scores at the beginning of the program and inflated scores at the end of the program to give students a faulty sense of accomplishment. This is why we focus on strategies NOT Mock test!!!
The professionals at College Planning TODAY Services strongly suggest that students make time to take the SAT multiple times!!! Take the test once on your own before determining whether you need our services or any company services. If you know that you are already struggling to take standardized test or have already taken the test and gotten a low score GET HELP NOW!!
